Crystal grew up in Florida until age 16 when her family relocated to Tennessee. Before discovering her passion for therapeutic massage, Crystal earned two bachelor’s degrees from East Tennessee State University, one in Biology and one in Studio Art. She moved to Omaha in 2011. Crystal was always amazed at the healing power of physical touch. It was this curiosity that led her to put herself through massage school at Omaha School of Massage. She’s been loving what she does ever since.

After hearing Essentials founder Dr. Kate Hansen speak at her Eastern Wellness class and then experiencing one of her acupuncture sessions, Crystal and Dr. Kate agreed Essentials was the place for Crystal’s career to blossom. That was in 2012. The rest is history!

Outside of Essentials, Crystal participates religiously in Crossfit and Crossfit Hydro. She loves to explore various forms of physical activity including pole dance classes, ballroom dance classes, yoga, hiking, walking her cat, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, target practice at shooting ranges, swimming, and kayaking/paddle boarding. She loves uninterrupted days at home, creating healing deliciousness in the kitchen, deepening her understanding and personal application of emotional and nutritional healing, reading, drawing, knitting, self-applied massage therapy work, maintaining healing sleep hygiene and socializing with friends and loved ones.
